This project included three major product processing areas, a central ammonia refrigeration system and an overhead conveyor system to transport produce tubs throughout the plant.

Paramount Citrus Association

Our personnel provided master planning and a feasibility study to Paramount Citrus Association for upgrading its 450,000 SF Navel and Valencia orange processing facility in Rayo, California to assure a 1,000 ton/day output. Following this assignment, the company was selected to design and construct a new greenfield Clementine processing plant in Delano.

Our personnel provided process optimization solutions for this 800,000 SF production facility. Initial studies revealed that the capital expenditure required was not justifiable. The project team designed a full replacement Greenfield facility that improved all aspects of the raisin process from raw delivery to shipping of finished goods while processing 150,000 tons per year. The state-of-the-art facility is the first “zero defect” plant in the world, focusing on food safety and enhanced ergonomics.
